Introducing my new Photo Page

” . . . beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.” —Annie Dillard

“Margins (Four) 10” from Groupings

It started accidentally. Since January 2011, I’ve walked over 200 miles around West Los Angeles, primarily looking down.

I keep one rule while shooting pictures: record what is. Watch, come back later if the sun’s too high, kneel when being closer is better, wait for the wind to calm, but no matter what, don’t ever touch a thing.

Not a single leaf.

“Broken Glass” from Margins

Taking these photos taught me to relentlessly avoid turning away, that longing and sorrow — even decay and waste — exist in tandem with beauty.

“Curves” from Fallen

Come check out my full portfolio. I’d love to hear your feedback. Thanks.
